Keenan ends Southside’s reign, moves on in Class 3A boys playoffs

Keenan ended Southside’s bid for a third straight title and is one step closer to another championship appearance.

The Raiders defeated Southside, 58-37, on Tuesday in the Class 3A Upper State playoffs. Keenan advances to Saturday’s Upper State championship against Region 4-3A foe Chester at Bon Secours Wellness Arena.

It will be the third matchup this season between Keenan and Chester. The Raiders won the previous two games, 83-65 and 70-49.

Raekwon Horton led the way for Keenan with 18 points and nine rebounds. Dillon Jones added 15 points, nine rebounds and four assists. Asanti Price added 11.

Tobias Canada led Southside with 13 points.
