Hammond hoops’ Chevez Goodwin commits to College of Charleston

Hammond senior forward Chevez Goodwin committed to College of Charleston on Saturday.

Earlier in the week, the 6-foot-8 Goodwin narrowed his choices down to C of C, UNC Wilmington, Richmond, Coastal Carolina, Middle Tennessee and East Tennessee State. As a junior, he averaged 12.6 points, 9.4 rebounds and shot 55 percent from the field in helping the Skyhawks to the SCISA Class 3A championship last season.
