Midlands High School Basketball Teams of the Week

Keenan (9-4) – Knocked off No. 4 Newberry on Saturday and then defeated Eau Claire 69-21 on Tuesday.

Dreher (14-1) – Moved to No. 1 in latest South Carolina Basketball Coaches poll. Blue Devils have won 10 straight games since loss to Spring Valley on Dec. 9.

River Bluff (11-5) – Gators trailed by as many as 25 and were behind 35-15 at halftime before rallying to win at Lexington, 58-55, on Tuesday. Brandon Tillmon hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give the Gators the win over their rivals. Game raised more than $1,000 for River Bluff assistant football coach Brian Thompson, who began cancer treatments Monday.

Spring Valley (10-4) – Defeated No. 3 Blythewood 74-66 on Tuesday and are 2-0 in Region 4-4A play heading into Thursday’s matchup against Ridge View.
