Weather affects Midlands high school basketball games

Some Midlands high school basketball games have been postponed or will start earlier Friday because of the forecast for winter weather.

Here is the list of games changed:

Starting earlier

Brookland-Cayce at Swansea – Girls game will begin at 4:30 p.m. and boys at 6 p.m.

Hammond at Cardinal Newman – Girls game will begin at 5:15 p.m. with boys to follow. JV games cancelled.

Irmo at River Bluff – Girls game will begin at 5:30 p.m. and boys at 7 p.m.

Postponed

A.C. Flora at Camden – Will be made up Tuesday

Blythewood at Ridge View – No makeup date set

Chapin at Richland Northeast – Will be made up Tuesday

Columbia at Newberry – Will be made up Monday

Dutch Fork at Lugoff-Elgin – Will be made up Monday

Keenan at Fairfield Central – No makeup date set

McBee at C.A. Johnson – Will be made up Thursday with girls game starting at 6:30 p.m.

Midland Valley at Airport – No makeup date set

Pelion at Eau Claire – No makeup date set

Saluda at Batesburg-Leesville – Will be made up Tuesday

Westwood at Spring Valley – Will be made up Monday

College

Carson Newman at Newberry – Postponed for Saturday and will be played Sunday at 2 p.m.
