Bryce Thompson sets date for college decision
Bryce Thompson is announcing his college choice this summer.
The Dutch Fork standout announced Wednesday will release his decision via Twitter on July 30. Thompson was a Virginia Tech commit but announced earlier this month he was reopening his recruiting.
South Carolina is in the mix for Thompson and he attended a camp there this month. Other offers include North Carolina State, Colorado State, East Carolina, Georgia State, and Washington State among others.
The 6-foot, 180-pound receiver/defensive back said he won’t be making any more visits or go to more camps prior to his decision.
Thompson is a three-star prospect and ranked No. 7 in the state, according to 247Sports, and is listed in ESPN’s Top 300 for Class of 2018.
Thompson played at Ben Lippen last year and scored the game-winning touchdown in the SCISA 3A championship game. He had 1,819 yards total offense, 24 TDs last year and had three interceptions on defense.
Thompson announced in March he was returning to Dutch Fork, where he played his freshman year.
