Spring Valley linebacker, Gamecocks target moves up in recruiting rankings
After a strong showing at The Opening Finals, Spring Valley’s Channing Tindall made a move up in the latest 247Sports rankings released Monday.
Tindall, a linebacker, moved up 23 spots and is the No. 22 player for the Class of 2018. He also is the top-ranked linebacker and No. 1 prospect in South Carolina.
That puts him eight spots from a five-star ranking. Nevada linebacker Palaie Gaoteote holds that at No. 14 nationally.
Tindall has announced he will play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. He hasn’t announced where he will play college football but his top five include South Carolina, Auburn, Georgia, Florida and Notre Dame.
Former Blythewood standout Jordyn Adams moved up to No. 9 overall prospect in the 247Sports rankings and now is a five-star recruit. Adams, who now plays at Green Hope in North Carolina, committed to the Tar Heels last week.
