Spring Valley’s Channing Tindall picked up some more national recognition Wednesday.

The linebacker was named to the first team of the American Family All-USA defensive squad. Clemson signee Xavier Thomas also was named to the first team.

It’s the latest honor for Tindall, who was selected to the US Army All-American Game, a finalist for Mr. SC Football and picked for the Shrine Bowl.

Tindall finished with 190 tackles and nine sacks this season for the Vikings.

Tindall is yet to commit to a school yet but is considering Auburn, Georgia and South Carolina.
