Who should be this week’s Midlands high school football player of the week?

It is time to vote for The State Midlands High School Football Player of the Week. Voting ends at noon Thursday, and you can vote as many times you like. The winner will be announced on Lou Bezjak’s Twitter page on Thursday.

The nominees are listed below. Please note that these polls are not scientific and are meant to be just for fun.:

Amah-Dre Leaphart, RB, Batesburg-Leesville: In the 33-8 win over Columbia, he rushed 27 times for 234 yards and scored two touchdowns.

Bennett Galloway, RB, Chapin: In a 45-31 win over White Knoll, the North Carolina State commit rushed 22 times for 152 yards, two touchdowns and caught two passes for 11 yards.

CJ Stokes, RB, Hammond: In the 45-0 win over Augusta Christian, the Michigan commit rushed 16 for 138 and three touchdowns.

Desmond Boatwright, RB, Blythewood: In a 24-20 loss to Rock Hill, Boatwright rushed 18 times for 131 yards, a TD and had four receptions for 58 yards and a TD.

Jack Aldighieri, WR, Spring Valley: In the 35-21 loss to Northwestern, he had seven catches for 153 yards and a TD.

John Buetow, DE, Dutch Fork: In a 48-0 win over River Bluff, he had 10 tackles, three for loss, and forced a fumble.

KJ Robinson, RB, Newberry: In the 33-12 win over Eau Claire, Robinson carried it 26 times for 180 yards and scored four touchdowns.

Layton Smith, RB, North Central: In the 40-7 win over Buford, Smith ran 14 times for 130 yards, a touchdown and also had punt returns for 260 yards and a TD.

Marcellus Lewis, OL/DL: Irmo: In a 28-27 win over AC Flora, Lewis graded out 90% on offensive line with two pancake blocks. On defense, he had seven tackles, two for loss and a sack.

Markel Townsend, RB, AC Flora: In a 28-27 loss to Irmo, Townsend had 231 all-purpose yards, including 173 yards rushing and three touchdowns.

Naahzeikial Mays, RB/WR, Brookland-Cayce: In a 35-34 win over Gilbert, Mays rushed 14 times for 112 yards, two touchdowns, caught two passes for 29 yards and had two kickoff returns for 23 yards.

Nate Branch, WR, Lower Richland: In a 60-12 win over Keenan, Branch had two catches for 152 yards, two touchdowns and also had a 63-yard punt return for a score.

Noah Jennings, WR, Westwood: In a 50-27 win over Dreher, Jennings had 4 catches for 128 yards and three touchdowns.

Stephon Gadsen, QB, Fairfield Central: In a 60-6 win over Mid-Carolina, Gadsen was 10-of-12 passing for 232 yards and two touchdowns. He also carried it eight times for 144 yards and three touchdowns.

Tre Robinson, QB, Gray Collegiate: In 20-6 win over Saluda, Robinson rushed 10 times for 108 yards, two touchdowns and was 5-of-10 passing for 55 yards.
