Who should be this week’s Midlands high school football player of the week?

It is time to vote for The State’s Midlands High School Football Player of the Week. Voting ends at noon Thursday, and you can vote as many times you like. The winner will be announced on Lou Bezjak’s Twitter page on Thursday.

The nominees are listed below:

Andre Washington, QB, Ridge View: In the 47-41 win over Hillcrest, Washington was 26-of-36 passing for 349 yards, four touchdowns and also rushed five times for 60 yards and a TD.

CJ Stokes, RB, Hammond: In a 56-3 win over Porter-Gaud, Stokes carried it 10 times for 176 yards for two touchdowns and also had a 33-yard TD catch, all in the first half.

Davin Patterson, QB, Dutch Fork: In the 56-0 win over Cane Bay, Patterson was 12-of-14 passing for 192 yards, four touchdowns and also carried it five times for 60 yards.

DeAree Rogers, WR/DB, Irmo: In a 42-20 win over Westside, Rogers caught six passes for 140 yards, two touchdowns and also carried it eight times for 53 yards and two touchdowns. On defense, he returned an interception 60 yards for a TD and had a fumble recovery.

Jeremy Barney, RB, Lower Richland: In the 48-34 loss to Clinton, Barney rushed 25 times for 190 yards, two touchdowns and caught a 12-yard pass.

Jonah McCary, QB, Saluda: In the 49-34 loss to Abbeville, McCary was 31-of-55 passing for 375 yards, two touchdowns and also had a TD run.

KJ Robinson, RB, Newberry: In 56-20 win over Chesterfield, Robinson rushed 16 times for 213 yards and three touchdowns.

KZ Adams, RB, Gray Collegiate: In a 58-0 win over Crescent, Adams carried it 18 times for 247 yards and four touchdowns.

Naahzeikial Mays, RB/WR, Brookland-Cayce: In the 28-27 win over Hanahan, Mays caught four passes and also rushed for three touchdowns.

Nick Emmanwori, LB, Irmo: In the 42-20 win over Westside, Emmanwori had 16 tackles and forced three fumbles.

Rhett Peeples, LB, Lexington: In the 28-14 win over Goose Creek, Peeples had 11 tackles, two for loss and a half-sack.

Xzavier McLeod, DL, Camden: In the 13-0 win over Aynor, McLeod had seven tackles, three tackles for loss, a sack, fumble recovery and three quarterback pressures.

Zavier Short, WR, Chapin: In a 44-21 loss to Fort Dorchester, Short caught eight passes for 140 yards, two touchdowns and also had a 13-yard TD run.
