Midlands senior football players get one more game in Palmetto I-20 Classic

Rosters for next month’s Palmetto I-20 Classic were announced this week.

The game, which started as the Metro Bowl in 2018, will be played 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 10, at Zemp Stadium in Camden. There was no game last year with COVID-19. Camden coach Brian Rimpf is one of the organizers of the game.

Team Nasty will be made up of players from Lexington and Richland One school districts. Team Savage is made up of Richland 2, Kershaw, Fairfield, Sumter, and Lee school districts.

AC Flora’s Dustin Curtis will be the coach of Team Nasty, and Spring Valley’s Robin Bacon will be the head coach of Team Savage.
