Camden quarterback named The State’s Midlands football player of week

Congratulations to Camden quarterback Grayson White for winning the vote for this week’s State’s Midlands Player of the Week honors.

A new poll will be released on Monday.

Aidan Canzater, RB, Hammond: Senior had 12 carries for 117 yards, a touchdown and caught two passes for 84 yards, two TDs in win over Heathwood Hall.

Jylil Favor, LB, Irmo: Junior had 11 tackles, three sacks, two tackles for loss, one pass break-up in win over Lugoff-Elgin.

Jarvis Green, RB, Dutch Fork: Senior carried it 17 times for 195 yards, five touchdowns and caught six passes for 93 yards, TD (all in the first half) in win over Lexington.

Jayden Harrison, RB/WR, Westwood: Senior had 23 carries for 101 yards, TD and caught four passes for 68 yards in win over Richland Northeast.

Cooper Johns, RB, River Bluff: Senior had 291 all-purpose yards, including 227 rushing, and five touchdowns in win over Chapin.

BJ Montgomery, RB, Gray Collegiate: Sophomore rushed for 250 yards and three TDs in win over Keenan.

AJ Reyes, RB, Cardinal Newman: Senior carried it 27 times for 202 yards, two touchdowns in win over Augusta Christian.

Dawan Rice, RB/WR, CA Johnson: Senior had 8 carries for 136 yards, two TDs and also caught a TD pass in win over Whitmire.

Jordan Smith, S, Gilbert: Senior had 15 tackles, two for loss, in win over Brookland-Cayce.

Marcus Smith, QB, Lower Richland: Junior was 8-of-13 passing for 177 yards, two touchdowns and rushed for 60 yards, two TDs in win over Dreher.

Markel Townsend, RB, AC Flora: Senior rushed for more than 200 yards and three touchdowns in win over Ridge View.

Grayson White, QB, Camden: Junior had 252 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns in win over Marlboro County.

Anthony Wicker, RB, Mid-Carolina: Wicker had 26 carries and 306 yards and 6 TDs in just over a half in win over Eau Claire.
