ROUNDUP: River Bluff rallies for last-minute win over North Augusta
At North Augusta, Justin Salters’ field goal with 1:18 left gave the Gators a come-from behind 24-21 win over North Augusta.
River Bluff quarterback Brandon Tillmon finished with 179 total yards and rushed for two scores in the win. Ti’Juan Glenn rushed for 54 yards and his TD run tied it at 21 late in the third quarter.
A.C Flora 72, Lower Richland 46
At Memorial Stadium, Clarence Watson ran for 157 yards and scored three TD runs, and Thomas Hollingsworth caught three passes for 68 yards and two touchdowns in the Falcons’ blowout win.
Brandon Greene threw for 125 yards and three touchdowns for A.C. Flora. In defeat, Tevaughn Higgins completed 24 of 37 passes for 417 yards and five touchdowns.
Dutch Fork 41, Spring Valley 14
At Irmo, Cole Douglas threw three touchdown passes and Austin Connor returned the opening kickoff back for a touchdown in Dutch Fork’s win.
Douglas finished with 193 yards passing and 81 rushing. Connor had two catches for 104 yards and a TD and Alex DeBoer hauled in two TD catches for the Silver Foxes. Clayton Jones added 96 yards rushing and two TD runs .
Ryan Lee threw for 118 yards in the loss.
Ridge View 56, Lugoff-Elgin 21
At Lugoff, Tre High was 19 of 31 for 252 yards and four touchdowns in Ridge View’s win.
Alli Kelley led the Blazers with 169 yards rushing and three TDs. and Ronald Brown had 105.
Cam Napper caught seven passes for 132 yards and Justin McCrae had seven receptions for 88 yards for Ridge View.
Richland Northeast 39, Camden 28
At Columbia, Aloysius Jackson had 191 yards passing and three total scores and the Cavs had 537 yards of offense.
Ty Davis led RNE with 176 yards and two TDs on the ground. Cedrick Smith had 88 yards receiving and Matthew Anderson had 76 for RNE.
Brookland-Cayce 35, Swansea 21
At Swansea, Charles Balkmon had four TD runs in the Bearcats’ win over Swansea.
Central 34, Gray Collegiate 28
At Pageland, Central was able to stop a game-winning drive with an interception with 23 seconds left in the game to hold on for a victory over Gray Collegiate.
Central's offense was led by a strong rushing attack that totaled 316 yards. DJ Drake was the leading rusher with 135 yards.
Gray Collegiate was led by senior running back Erick Harris, who rushed for 103 yards and four touchdowns in the loss. GCA quarterback Bryce Fields completed 21 of 34 passes for 266 yards, but had the lone interception.
Gray Collegiate (4-5) will close its season next week with a road game at Cardinal Newman.
Hammond 42, Augusta Christian 0
At Augusta, Graham Smith threw for 227 yards and two TDs and Malik Bennett rushed for 100 yards and three scores in the Skyhawks’ 21st straight victory.
Lucas Prickett caught both of Smith’s TD passes and finished with five catches for 144 yards receiving.
Pinewood Prep 34, Cardinal Newman 14
At Columbia, D’Angelo Knight rushed for two touchdowns and Jack DiMuzio threw for 118 yards in the win over Cardinal Newman.
Pinewood took a 21-0 lead in the second quarter.
Cam Tringali threw a TD pass and Nicky Winterstein rushed for a TD in the loss.
Aiken 40, Gilbert 14
At Gilbert, Bryson Jones rushed 118 yards and Aiken rushed for 335 yards as a team in the win over Gilbert.
South Aiken 49, White Knoll 35
At South Aiken, Bowen Smith threw for 344 yards and three touchdowns, while Chris Roberts ran for 163 yards and two touchdowns as South Aiken pulled away from White Knoll.
Gary Shell led White Knoll with 128 yards on 11 carries, and two touchdowns.
Ben Lippen 43, Calhoun Academy 42
At Calhoun, Patrick McClure hit Cole Owens on a 57-yard pass with 34 seconds left as Ben Lippen rallied past Calhoun.
Ben Lippen trailed 36-29 with nine minutes left but McClure’s TD run tied it up.
Newberry 34, Pelion 0
At Newberry, Yafari Werts rushed for two touchdowns and the Bulldogs ran for 285 yards in the game.
