Chapin makes statement in first playoff win since 2007

A week ago, Chapin lost a chance at an undefeated season. The Eagles weren’t about to allow any doubt in their opening game in the 3A playoffs.

Chapin pulled away early in the third quarter to take a 56-35 win against Southside and secure the program’s first postseason victory since 2007. The win sends the Eagles (10-1) on to a meeting with Wren next week.

“When we came in at the half, we said, ‘Look, we let A.C. Flora mess around and get back in this last week,” said Chapin quarterback Logan Bailey, who ran for three scores and threw for three more. “We can’t let them come back this week. We’ve got to finish these guys.”
