Chapin QB Bailey making official visit to The Citadel

The latest football recruiting news involving Midlands players:

▪ Chapin quarterback Logan Bailey visited Newberry on Tuesday and will make his official visit to The Citadel over the weekend.

▪ Newberry quarterback Yafari Werts is visiting Appalachian State this weekend and not North Carolina, according to Phil Kornblut.

▪ Lexington running back Slade Carroll will visit Charleston Southern this weekend.

▪ Blythewood kicker Cody Turner committed to Coastal Carolina on Tuesday.

▪ Blythewood quarterback David Israel will visit North Carolina A&T this weekend.

▪ Blythewood WR/DE Eric Weber will visit East Carolina this weekend.

▪ Richland Northeast offensive lineman Raqwon Niles committed to Johnson C. Smith on Wednesday.

▪ Swansea athlete Chance Walker visited South Carolina State on Thursday. He also has visited Lenoir-Rhyne.

▪ White Knoll offensive lineman Tyquilo Moore has committed to Butler Community College, a junior college in Kansas.

▪ Chapin linebacker Garrett Reinhart will visit Jacksonville this weekend.

▪ East Carolina offered Ridge View defensive end Damani Staley and Brookland-Cayce lineman Naquez Pringle. It was Staley’s third offer this week. He also has offers from South Carolina and Georgia Tech.

▪ Ben Lippen OL/DL Cullen Carlin committed to Berry College in Georgia.
