Batesburg-Leesville’s Terrence Wilson commits to Charleston Southern
Batesburg-Leesville running back Terrence Wilson committed to Charleston Southern on Friday.
Wilson visited CSU last week and also considered Marshall and South Carolina State.
“I loved it there, awesome coaching staff and I feel that’s where I would have the best success as far as on the field and in the classroom,” Wilson said. “And Charleston is a great place to live.”
The 5-foot-9, 195-pounder was one of the most productive running backs in the state during his career, rushing for 4,692 yards and 93 total touchdowns. Wilson left Batesburg-Leesville as the school’s all-time leader in rushing yards and touchdowns.
This season, Wilson rushed for 1,877 yards and 32 touchdowns. He was named the Class 2A Upper State Back of the Year, and selected to play in the Touchstone Energy Cooperatives North-South game.
Wilson is the fourth Midlands player to commit to CSU, joining Fairfield Central’s Josh Bell, Lexington’s Nick Graves and Airport’s Jonathon Earl.
