Blythewood’s Carter commits to play football at FAU
Blythewood tight end Roger Carter Jr. verbally committed to Florida Atlantic on Tuesday.
The 6-foot-3, 245-pounder visited FAU last month and also had offers from South Carolina State, Hampton, Elon and Charleston Southern.
“I love the campus. It’s a great atmosphere,” Carter Jr. said. “The way they use their tight ends fits me perfectly. I like how they are coming up and where they are going in football and as a university.”
Carter Jr. transferred to Blythewood this year after playing at Ridge View. He had seven catches for 85 yards and two touchdowns last year for the Blazers.
