Jordyn Adams’ late touchdown helps Blythewood past Rock Hill

Jordyn Adams’ 9-yard run with 1:32 left gave Blythewood a 27-20 win over Rock Hill on Saturday.

The Bengals trailed 17-13 at halftime and were tied 20-20 after Rock Hill’s Zhenya Deller hit a 27-yard field goal with 3:28 left. Blythewood responded with a 6-play, 91-yard drive capped off by Adams’ touchdown run.

Jaydon Brunson sealed the Bengals’ win with an interception with 34 seconds left.

Adams, a junior, was 14-of-18 for 239 yards and also rushed 18 times for 107 yards and two touchdowns.

Blythwood running back Jaylon Boyd rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns. The Bengals had 444 yards of total offense.

Armon Booser had two sacks to lead Blythewood’s defense. The Bengals face Ridge View on Friday.

Rock Hill quarterback Dre Robinson threw for 223 yards in the loss.
