Roundup: Versatile Salters leads Dreher; Blythewood bounces back

Dreher’s Anthony Salters accounted for four touchdowns in the Blue Devils’ 38-14 win over Gray Collegiate on Saturday at Memorial Stadium.

Salters returned two interceptions for touchdowns, ran for a TD and also threw for a score. He has seven TDs combined in Dreher’s first two games.

Blythewood 35, Fairfield Central 14

At Winnsboro, Blythewood quarterback Jordyn Adams threw for two touchdowns and rushed for two in the Bengals’ victory.

Jawaun Corbin returned an interception for a TD for Blythewood, which improved to 4-3 all-time against the Griffins.

Airport 42, Lower Richland 20

At Airport, Jamir Robinson rushed for 129 yards and two touchdowns in the Eagles’ first victory of the season.

The Eagles’ Calvin Ford picked off two passes and returned one for a touchdown.

Westwood 26, South Florence 7

At Florence, Jaylon Riley rushed for 135 yards and a touchdowns as the Redhawks won their first game over a 5A school.

Elijah Heatley and Rashawn Green each threw TD passes, and Bradlee Nelson returned a punt for a touchdown for the Redhawks.

Saluda 42, Mid-Carolina 7

At Saluda, Malik Brooks rushed for 168 yards and three touchdowns in Saluda’s win.

Tyrell Abner added 56 yards rushing and threw a 23-yard TD pass.

Corey Stone passed for 88 yards to lead Mid-Carolina.

Batesburg-Leesville 21, Newberry 19

At Prosperity, Tyreek Tolen, Bishop Cannon and Mikal Hartley each rushed for touchdowns and the Panthers held off the Bulldogs for the non-region win.

The game was played at Mid-Carolina because of construction at Newberry Stadium.

Batesburg-Leesville led 14-0 at halftime, but Newberry cut it to 21-19 late in the fourth quarter after missing on a 2-point conversion.

Barnwell 45, Pelion 0

At Pelion, Anton Buxton rushed for 179 yards and two touchdowns for Barnwell.

Richard Kollie led Pelion with 63 yards rushing.
