Davidson, Rodgers lead Rome to 6-3 win over Columbia
Jordan Rodgers hit a three-run home run in the fourth inning, and Tucker Davidson allowed just two hits over six innings as the Rome Braves beat the Columbia Fireflies 6-3 on Friday.
Columbia had runners on first and second in the bottom of the ninth, but Andres Gimenez grounded out to end the game.
The home run by Rodgers capped a four-run inning and gave the Braves a 5-1 lead after Leudys Baez hit a solo home run earlier in the inning.
The Braves tacked on another run in the seventh when Carlos Martinez hit an RBI single, driving in Cristian Pache.
