Midlands All-Stars capture Dixie Youth AAA World Series
The Midland Minors All-Stars capped off their season with a Dixie Youth AAA World Series championship.
Midlands defeated North Carolina, 4-3, on Thursday in the championship game at Lumberton, N.C. Midlands went 18-1 in the postseason with its only loss to Louisiana in the second game of the World Series. But the all-stars responded by winning its next four games.
During the run, Midlands outscored its opponents, 228-24, in the postseason. It was Midlands sixth championship overall for the program.
