Columbia Fireflies fall on road to Charleston RiverDogs

Charleston pushed across a run in the bottom of the eighth inning to squeeze out a 2-1 victory over the Columbia Fireflies on Friday.

After the RiverDogs scored in the fourth for an early 1-0 lead, the Fireflies tied the game in the fifth on an RBI single by Vinny Siena that scored Kevin Kaczmarski.

Tylor Bashlor took the loss, allowing one run on one hit in three innings of relief.

The teams face off again at 6:05 p.m. Saturday.
