Midlands All-Stars win Dixie Youth Coach-Pitch World Series title

LAUREL, Mississippi – The Midlands All-Stars scored four runs in the first and three in the third and held on to defeat Alabama 7-6 on Tuesday to win the Dixie Youth Coach-Pitch World Series.

Logan Gadberry had a three-run homer in the third to give Midlands a 7-0 lead.

Midlands lost its first game in the tournament to Alabama but won its next five in winning the title. Midlands averaged 9.3 runs in the tournament including a 24-run outburst against Arkansas.
