Midlands All-Stars win Dixie Youth O-Zone championship

For the second time this summer, the Midlands All-Stars are Dixie Youth World Series champions.

Bruno Stone hit a two-run homer, and Bryce Metts got the win on the mound as Midlands defeated Alabama, 6-0, on Thursday to win the Dixie Youth World Series O-Zone championship.

The title is the fifth Dixie Youth championship in Midlands’ program history and second this summer. Midlands won the Dixie Youth AA World Series last week.

Midlands won four elimination games on its way to the championship after losing to Texas, 4-3, on Monday.
