Premier League soccer clubs Liverpool and Manchester United played at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia on Saturday in the final stop of a three-city Rivals in Red Tour at the home of the South Carolina Gamecocks. The first two matches of the tour were played in Philadelphia and Los Angeles.
Liverpool defeats Manchester United 3-0
Liverpool 3, Manchester United 0: Konstantinos Tsimikas latches onto a rebound from close range and gives Liverpool a 3-0 lead in the 61st minute.
Liverpool 2, Manchester United 0: Mohamed Salah got in behind Manchester United’s defense and squared the ball across the net to Curtis Jones, who tapped the cross into an open net from about three yards out in the 37th minute to double Liverpool’s lead.
Liverpool 1, Manchester United 0: Fabio Carvalho received a pass from Diogo Jota inside of the penalty box, used a fake shot to weave past a pair of defenders and found the bottom right corner via a deflection to open the scoring for Liverpool in the 10th minute.
