Historic Columbia Foundation Gardening Symposium: “Growing Your Gardening Skills” will kick off with a reception and keynote presentation from Amanda McNulty, host of ETV’s “Making It Grow,” 6:30-8:30 p.m. April 11 at Senate’s End, 316 Senate St. Workshops will be held at the Robert Mills Carriage House, 1616 Blanding St. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., followed by workshops at 9, 10 and 11 a.m. Topics are: Discovering the Hidden Potential of Your Garden, Successful Container Gardening and Choosing Plants that Thrive in the Midlands. Following the workshops, participants will take a tour of the foundation’s newest garden at the Woodrow Wilson Family Home.
