Candice Glover's mom to hold fashion show; Candice to sing
Carole Glover loves to shop as much as her daughter, "American Idol" season 12 winner Candice Glover, loves to sing.
She has said that she hits the malls whenever she accompanies Candice to events around the country.
When Candice performed at the White House last year and needed an outfit for an afternoon event, she and her mom scoured Washington looking for the perfect ensemble.
"Ever since I was younger, my mom would give me tips on the right things to wear and what looks good," Candice said. "My mom is a fashionista!"
Carole Glover's passion for fashion will be on display Saturday at a fashion show at the Beaufort Holiday Inn. The event will feature 15 models wearing outfits selected by Carole Glover. There will be three sets to the show, red-and-white ensembles, seasonal outfits and evening wear. Candice will perform between each set.
David Oliver Willis, who auditioned for "American Idol" season 12 with Candice, will be the emcee for the event.
"I always wanted to do a fashion show," Carole Glover said. "I love clothes."
Candice said she is excited to perform at her mom's event because it is a chance for her mom "to live out one of her dreams.
