Barnes Takes Unofficial Visit to USC

DE Tavaris Barnes (6-5 250) of Jacksonville, FL was in attendance for the USC/Clemson game in Columbia on an unofficial visit to USC. "It went real good," he said. "Way better than I thought it was going to be. I thought it was going to be boring and all, but the amosphere was great."

He spoke with USC coach Steve Spurrier tonight and will get a visit from Spurrier tomorrow at his school. "He just talked about the game and said we could catch up tomorrow," said Barnes. He is also expecting FSU coaches to visit tomorrow as well, and North Carolina recruiters will be at his home Wednesday.

Barnes is currently a nFSU commit but says this weekend's trip gave him a lot to think about. "I don't know what is going to happen until signing day," he said. Barnes says he will take officials to USC, Clemson, Georgia, FSU, and North Carolina.

Barnes said the issues at Florida State with coach Bobby Bowden and a new defensive coordinator coming in really won't affect his thinking about the Seminoles. "I'm just doing my thing," said Barnes who won't make a decision until Signing Day.
