Mother of young children goes missing

A 40-year-old woman who hasn’t had contact with her two young children for two days has gone missing in Richland County and Sheriff Leon Lott is requesting the public’s help in locating her.

It is “out of character” for Kimberly Parrish to be so out of touch with her children, Lott said in a press release Sunday evening.

Parrish was last seen at Helping Hands Caregivers at 9444 Two Notch Road on Friday morning. She had gone to pick up her pay check between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m..

She “has not been seen or heard from since,” Lott said.

“The Sheriff’s Department has no leads that indicate any foul play, but investigators are concerned for her safety,” the department said in a newsrelease issued Sunday evening.

Parrish was last seen driving her olive green 1999 Chevy Malibu with state tags HVT-700.

She is described as white, 5 foot, 3 inches tall, 175 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at (800) CrimeSC or the Sheriff’s Department at (803) 576-3000.
