James and Linda Hoerner celebrate 50th anniversary

James Hoerner and Linda Zalikowski Hoerner of Columbia recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married Feb. 10, 1968, in Buffalo, New York.

Their children are Jennifer (William) Berryman and Kariann (Thomas) Kiener, both of Columbia, and Jonathan (Catherine) Hoerner of Niagara Falls, New York. They have three grandchildren – Victoria Kiener, Mackenzie Kiener and Chase Hoerner – and one great-grandchild, Jordayn Billingham.

The Hoerners celebrated their anniversary with dinner at Blue Fin Restaurant.

A: James and his friend crashed a party Linda was having for her girlfriend.

Q: What was your favorite part of your wedding day?

A: When the ceremony was finished and they could get a drink.

Q: Tell us about a favorite moment in your marriage.

A: The births of their three children.
