Poke Bros. Hawaiian to open second area location, plans for two more

Columbus, Ohio-based Poke Bros. “Fresh Fish Hawaiian Style” restaurant which recently opened a to-go only location in Five Points will soon open a dine-in location at 5225 Sunset Blvd. in the shopping center formerly home to Bruegger’s Bagels.

According to the company website, the chain has plans to open a third location in Irmo later this year and, according to Carolinas Retail Partners which is representing the eatery, is looking for a possible location in Forest Acres, as well.

Poke Bros. opened their Poke Bros. To Go location on Greene Street in Five Points in April. In addition to dine-in eating at the Lexington location, the restaurant plans to eventually add outdoor patio space there, as well. The restaurant will be located across the road from the Lowes Foods which is under construction on Sunset Boulevard in the Lexington Square shopping center.

Poke Bros. describes itself as a fast casual restaurant serving poke, which is pronounced POH-KAY--a type of fish salad that originated in Hawaii and features cubed-cut raw fish mixed in a bowl with rice, veggies and toppings.
