Poke Bros. Hawaiian restaurant coming to Vista, Harbison
Less than five months after opening its first Midlands-area location on Greene Street in Five Points and a location on Sunset Boulevard in Lexington, Columbus, Ohio-based Poke Bros. “Fresh Fish Hawaiian Style” restaurant has announced it will open another Columbia location at 1211 Lincoln St. in the Vista. The location was previously home to Doubletakes vintage clothing shop.
Poke Bros. has also released the address of its previously announced “coming soon” Irmo location as 1230 Bower Pkwy. off Harbison Boulevard. The chain, which is represented locally by Carolinas Retail Partners, may also be considering a location in Forest Acres, as well.
Poke Bros. opened its Poke Bros. To Go location on Greene Street in Five Points in April. The Lexington location, which opened earlier this month, is a dine-in location.
Poke Bros. describes itself as a fast casual restaurant serving poke, which is pronounced POH-KAY--a type of fish salad that originated in Hawaii and features cubed-cut raw fish mixed in a bowl with rice, veggies and toppings.
