Locally owned Lexington restaurant One Taco Two Taco closed for business Sunday, Dec. 10, just over one year after opening on Sunset Boulevard.
Area entrepreneurs and restauranteurs Arif Rizvi and Jeff Zona opened One Taco Two Taco at 5225 Sunset Blvd. in the space previously occupied by another of Zona’s restaurants, Buddy’s Saucy Dogs, last October. The short strip mall housing One Taco Two Taco also includes Poke Bros. Hawaiian restaurant which opened earlier this year in the space formerly occupied by Bruegger’s Bagels. The strip is located directly across Sunset Boulevard from the Lowe’s Foods-anchored Lexington Square shopping center and is adjacent to the site of the European grocery chain Lidl which will open next year.
Rizvi, who also opened and previously owned Rue 77 on Assembly Street in Columbia, posted this announcement on the restaurant’s Facebook page Sunday:
“Folks - it’s with a sad heart we are announcing that after dinner service today, Sunday Dec. 10th, we will be closing doors. We want to thank our guests, the town of Lexington and surrounding areas for supporting us. If anyone purchased any gift cards, please email us at - onetacotwotaco@gmail.com. Thank you again.”
