Crews from three agencies responded to a fire at a Cayce salvage yard Monday, according to officials.

Firefighters from the Cayce Department of Public Safety responded to the blaze, which broke out Monday afternoon at a salvage yard at the corner of U.S. 321 and Memorial Drive, according to a post on the department’s Facebook page.

Cayce’s ladder truck contained the blaze until crews from Lexington County and West Columbia arrived, according to the department, which described the blaze as “large.”

There was no word on how the fire started, or the extent of any damage at the yard.
