Noticing work along Gills Creek near Trenholm Plaza? Here’s what’s happening.
If you’re noticing big equipment and a lot of activity happening beside Gills Creek near Trenholm Plaza, here’s what’s up.
A pair of old sewer lines are being replaced by a single, larger sewer line. It will run between Forest Drive and the Quail Lane sewage pump station, near Little Lake Katherine.
The $4.6 million project began in July and should take about 18 months to complete, said Larry Brazell, director of the East Richland County Public Service District, which is responsible for the work.
The project was planned well before the flood of 2015 and has nothing to do with the effects of the flood, Brazell said.
