Police investigating after body found near interstate in Richland County

Officials with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department say the department is investigating after a body was found near I-77 in Blythewood Sunday.

It appears as if the body had been at the location where it was found for some time, department spokesman Curtis Wilson said in a statement released Sunday. Investigators are waiting for the coroner’s office to make an identification, he said.
