North Columbia shooting leaves 1 man dead

A Columbia man was shot to death early Friday morning in north Columbia.

Michael Brown, 55, died of complications from a gunshot wound after being shot shortly after midnight Friday on Dickson Avenue, off Farrow Road, according to Richland County Coroner Gary Watts.

The Columbia Police Department is investigating the incident. Additional details were not immediately available.
