Coroner: Suspicious deaths in north Columbia result of murder-suicide
The two people found dead Sunday in a north Columbia residence died as a result of a murder-suicide, according to Richland County Coroner Gary Watts.
Ralph Robinson, 59, shot Marcia Hamin-Robinson, 53, and then turned the pistol on himself, Watts said in a news release.
Both died from complications of gunshot wounds to the head, Watts said in the release.
The two were found dead around 5 p.m. Sunday in a home in the 4300 block of Clairton Street near Pineneedle Road, said Columbia police spokeswoman Jennifer Timmons.
The Columbia Police Department is continuing to investigate the deaths, Timmons said.
