Floodwaters had not yet subsided in some parts of Richland County on Saturday, and the rain came down hard again. But volunteers were determined to help residents flooded out of their homes by last weekend’s storms.

Folks from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Mount Hebron United Methodist Church and F3 – Fitness, Fellowship, and Faith – helped homeowners on Timberlane and Glenhaven drives.

That area off South Beltline Boulevard is near the southern end of the Gills Creek watershed, downstream from the dams that were breached or topped.
