Lexington County deputy charged with domestic violence

A Lexington County deputy has been charged with second degree domestic violence following an altercation with his ex-wife.

Brien Gwyn was arrested Monday night following an altercation with his ex-wife in a restaurant parking lot, according to deputies. Gwyn is being held at the Lexington County Detention Center.

Gwyn has been suspended without pay pending the outcome of an internal investigation, according to the Sheriff’s Department. He has served as a Lexington County deputy since Jan. 5, 2015.
