Lexington County coroner identifies Red Bank shooting victim

The Lexington County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim of a shooting that occurred Thursday evening in the Red Bank community.

Coroner Margaret Fisher said 27-year-old Joshua M. Prine, of Gaston, was shot in the upper body during during an incident that is under investigation by the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department. Fisher said an autopsy will be performed Friday to determine the exact cause of death.

Fisher said Prine was shot in the 100 block of Marty Lane near Laurel Street at around 7:30 p.m.

Fisher said the coroner’s office will continue to investigate the incident along with the sheriff’s department.
