Graham retweets Onion story about himself
S.C. Sen. Lindsey Graham retweeted a satirical Onion story about himself on Wednesday, then jokes he's seeking asylum from Donald Trump in Ecuador.
The parody website posted a story that showed an altered photo of Graham hiding behind a tree, under the headline “Lindsey Graham Cowers Behind Tree Trunk as Trump’s Hunting Dogs Close In.”

Being a good sport, Graham retweeted the Onion and claimed the mainstream media had missed the story, then claimed he would be seeking asylum from the new president’s hunting dogs in the South American country.

South Carolina’s senior senator has a long-standing rivalry with Trump dating back to the two’s clashes during the GOP presidential primary. On the day Trump was inaugurated, Graham even joked he would be on the president’s “kill list.”
