Did Trump suggest gun owners threaten Clinton or the Supreme Court?
Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump might have suggested someone could shoot Hillary Clinton or a Supreme Court justice at a campaign rally on Tuesday.
While talking about Supreme Court nominees, Trump told the Wilmington, North Carolina crowd that there was “nothing you can do” about appointments if the Democratic presidential nominee were elected.
“Although, the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don’t know,” Trump added.

Jason Miller, senior communications adviser for the Trump campaign, said afterward that Trump was just calling for Second Amendment people to rally behind him.

But even some of Trump’s supporters seemed to think the remark was extreme.
Several people on Twitter seemed to interpret it as Trump suggesting his supporters could shoot his opponent, or that he at least was joking about it.

Robby Mook, campaign manager for Clinton, said in a statement that what Trump said is “dangerous.”
“A person seeking to be the president of the United States should not suggest violence in any way,” Mook said.
