Hillary Clinton’s SC visit includes forum at North Charleston tech college
Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton will hold a forum Wednesday in North Charleston to discuss youth job training and apprenticeship programs.
The 3 p.m. event at Trident Technical College is open to the public with reservations through the Clinton campaign website. Doors open at 12:45 p.m.
Clinton also will stop in Orangeburg on Wednesday to meet with community leaders to discuss challenges facing rural South Carolina.
The trip marks Clinton’s second visit to the Palmetto State since officially entering the race in April and her first return to the state since her official campaign launch event Saturday in New York City.
The Trident Technical College event is the candidate’s first S.C. event that is open to the public.
The former first lady and secretary of state has been campaigning in small, controlled events and roundtable discussions with students, educators and small-business owners.
Clinton made a one-day stop in Columbia last month, meeting with minority women business owners and speaking to a group of Democratic women gathered for a conference at the State House.
