Letters: Who defended tea party protesters?

Harriet Showman wanted to make sure we all know that the “First Amendment applies to all of us” (Jan. 19).

You could have fooled me.

I don’t remember all of the First Amendment advocates coming out of the woodwork back when people were criticizing tea party members who were assembling to protest during the Obama administration.

Obviously, some people think that the First Amendment is only intended for half of us.
