Get over anger over Confederacy

I am not Southern-born but have adopted the culture of our great state. The idea of tearing down statues and renaming anything that smacks of the Confederacy is ludicrous.

What’s next? Burning history books because the left wing doesn’t want our history taught? C’mon people: Get a life.

Our legally elected president is no Nazi. We, the people who elected him, are not white supremacist groups. We want to see our country grow and prosper. We embrace all people who come here vetted and legal. We abhor violence from any side. We want our children to have a future and learn from history what mistakes have been made. Is that too much to ask?

With the world ever at the brink of terrorism, let’s be more focused.
