On deck for Michael Roth: New gig with San Francisco Giants
Michael Roth’s next baseball stop will be with the San Francisco Giants.
Roth signed a minor league contract with the Giants, it was reported Friday.
Roth was with the Texas Rangers organization in 2015, spending a brief time in the majors. For Triple A Round Rock, he was 11-5 with a 2.97 ERA in 28 appearances with 23 starts. He had 94 strikeouts in 145.1 innings pitched.
He has also pitched for the Los Angeles Angels and Cleveland Indians organizations.
Roth was a 2011 All-American with the Gamecocks and a member of two College World Series title winners. He won 26 games and threw more than 354 innings for USC.
