South Carolina outfielder Alex Destino was selected in the 14th round of the MLB draft by the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday.
The junior joins Tyler Johnson as a White Sox selection as Johnson was picked by Chicago in the fifth round on Tuesday.
Destino hit .255 this season with eight doubles, 10 homers and 41 RBIs, which tied for the team lead.
He was named to the 2016 NCAA Regional All-Tournament Team and was a 2017 Preseason All-SEC pick, although he struggled with consistency this past year.
Never miss a local story.
In addition to Destino, Clarke Schmidt, Wil Crowe and Johnson have been drafted thus far.
