Busta moves: Former Gamecock tight end lands with new team
Busta Anderson has a new NFL home with the Buffalo Bills.
The Bills anounced the signing Sunday. He will wear the No. 88 jersey.
The 49ers cut Anderson in the summer of 2016 after selecting the former USC tight end in the seventh round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He was on injured reserve in 2015 and spent time on the Chicago Bears’ practice squad.
Anderson as a senior at USC had 22 catches for 260 yards and a touchdown in a season hampered by a series of triceps injuries. He caught three touchdown passes as a freshman in 2011 and had five scores in 2012.
The Bills have signed TE Rory Anderson and S Adrian McDonald; also released P Austin Rehkow and designated TE Jason Croom as waived/injured
