In the wake of increased terrorist activity around the world, South Carolina will be taking extra security steps at the upcoming home games against The Citadel and Clemson.

Although extra security measures are being put in place, there has been no credible threat to our stadium, the university said in a statement. Among the ways fans can expect increased security:

▪  More uniformed officers both inside and outside the stadium.

▪  Fans are advised to come early to the game to avoid any extra possible delay in bag check lines. Event staff will be extra diligent and thorough conducting bag checks.

▪  Fans are encouraged to not bring bags into the stadium. If bags are essential, utilizing a clear plastic bag could shorten wait time.

The university has been working with federal, state and local law enforcement to share intelligence and coordinate public safety efforts. Fans and game staff are encouraged to report any suspicious activity to law enforcement.
