South Carolina’s Frank Martin sends words to lift up injured Clemson star
The South Carolina basketball rivalry is a fierce one, but for Gamecocks coach Frank Martin, it’s also one built on respect.
So after Clemson senior forward Donte Grantham, who was second on the team in scoring with 14.2 points a game, was lost for the season with a torn ACL, Martin tweeted a message.
@DonteGrantham32 my heart goes out to you. U have worked your tail off & it’s not supposed to b like this. However remember there is always a plan. Keep the faith and keep leading your team. #respect

Grantham was a four-year starter, averaging at least 27.8 minutes a game each year. He scored only five points on seven shots against the Gamecocks, his lowest output of the season.
And Grantham had a response for Martin.
Thank you!! Appreciate it a lot! Just gotta stay tough and like you said continue leading my team. ✊
